Mrs. Olga Whalen, a resident of Amityville and a former teacher’s aide in the Amityville School District, died Aug. 6, 2014 at Broadlawn Manor Nursing Home, Amityville. She was 87 years old.  Mrs. Whalen was born on Nov. 21, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York to Augustine and Hope (Portal) Diaz.
