The Village of Amityville
announces that it intends
to submit an application for
New York State Community
Development Block Grant-
Disaster Recovery (CDBGDR) Program funds on or
about September 20th for
the following project:
Amityville Storm Sewer and
Drainage Improvements
Activity: The Village of
Amityville is requesting
Community Development
Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding
to design and construct improvements to storm sewers
which have been subject to
tidal flooding impacts associated with extreme weather
events and spring tides in
the Village of Amityville.
Objective: The project will
rehabilitate and expand the
capacity of the storm drainage system using measures
such as reconstructing/replacing outfall pipes, replacing and/or adding additional
catch basins, and installing
backflow preventers/flapper
valves.

Location: Village of Amityville, Town of Babylon,
Suffolk County, NY
Amount: $2,242,121.00 for
Design, Construction, and
Project Delivery Costs.
