NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the qualified voters
of the Copiague Union Free
School District of Copiague,
Suffolk County, New York,
that a Special School District Meeting will be held
in the Copiague Memorial
Public Library, 50 Deauville
Boulevard, Copiague, New
York on April 4, 2017, for the
purpose of voting upon the
appropriation of the necessary funds to meet the estimated expenditures of the
Copiague Memorial Public
Library for the 2017/2018
year, and for the election
of two (2) trustees of the
Copiague Memorial Public
Library. The term of said
trustees shall be as follows:
[1] April 5, 2017 to June 30,
2021 and [2] July 1, 2017 to
June 30, 2022. The voting
shall be by paper ballot, and
the polls will remain open
from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.,
prevailing time.
NOTICE IS FURTHER
GIVEN that petitions nominating candidates for the
office of Copiague Memorial
Public Library Trustee must
be filed with the District Office of the Copiague Union

Free School District during
regular business hours at
least thirty [30] days prior
to the Special District Meeting and between the hours
of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
on the 30th day prior to the
Special District Meeting.
The Petitions shall be directed to the District Clerk;
shall be signed by at least
twenty-five (25) qualified
voters of the School District
or two (2%) percent of the
voters who voted in the
previous annual election,
whichever is greater; shall
state the residence of each
signer and shall state the
name and residence of the
candidate being nominated
for the office of trustee of the
Copiague Memorial Public
Library including the name
of the incumbent and the
length of the term of office
for the position sought.

annual estimated expenditures of the Copiague
Memorial Public Library
to be voted upon shall be
available at the Copiague
Memorial Public Library

Library Budget Vote except
Saturday and Sunday.

a permissive referendum as

Law.
An extract of the resolution
is as follows:
The COPIAGUE FIRE
DISTRICT maintains an
Apparatus Reserve Fund
under Section 6(g) of the
General Municipal Law in
which account there is sufficient funds to accomplish
the purpose hereinafter set
forth; namely, the purchase
of an automotive diagnostic
kit and associated equipment and it is proposed to
contract for said purchase
in order to maintain the
high standards of the COPIAGUE FIRE DEPARTMENT in the discharge of its
duties in preserving the lives
and property of the residents
of the community and said
purchase is deemed in the
best interests of the residents
of the COPIAGUE FIRE
DISTRICT. The resolution
further provides that there
be transferred from the present Apparatus Reserve Fund
of the COPIAGUE FIRE
DISTRICT a sum not to
exceed Twenty Thousand
($20,000.00) Dollars for said
purchase, and the District
