Jeremy McDermott, who also brought out the #5 charger for some fun and even led a few laps, won the final late model contest.
The “Semi-Retiring” Roger Oxee looked like he was going to run away and hide early, but a series of restarts gave McDermott the opportunity to get to the front for the victory.
In the Super Pro Trucks, Dave Koenig got a long awaited win. The 2011 Division Champ hadn’t seen Victory Lane in quite some time. As a result of the victory, Koenig and his team received a trophy and a $100 check from fellow competitor Louie Maestri honoring Maestri’s late crew chief Joe DiGangi. Maestri and his wife make this gesture every year for the final race of each season.
