Highway, Lindenhurst,
New York, 11757, at which
time they will be publicly
opened and read in the Division of Purchasing office.
No bids will be accepted
after 10:00 A.M. on the
date of bid opening. NO
EXCEPTIONS WILL BE
GRANTED. Do not remove
any pages; all proposals are
to be submitted intact.
The contract documents
may be obtained at the
Town Hall Purchasing Department between the hours
of 9:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M.
daily except Saturday, Sundays and Holidays on and
after, THURSDAY, MAY
17, 2012. In addition, bid
packages may be obtained
at the Town of Babylon
website, www.townofbabylon.com.

LEGAL NOTICE
TO THE TAXPAYERS OF
THE COPIAGUE FIRE
DISTRICT:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a resolution was
duly adopted by the Board
of Fire Commissioners of
the COPIAGUE FIRE DISTRICT, Town of Babylon,
County of Suffolk, State of
New York, on the 9th day of
May 2012, subject to a permissive referendum as provided for by Section 6(g)
of the General Municipal
Law.
An extract of the resolution
is as follows:
The COPIAGUE FIRE
DISTRICT maintains an
Apparatus Reserve Fund
under Section 6(g) of the
General Municipal Law in
which account there is sufficient funds to accomplish
the purpose hereinafter set
forth; namely, the purchase
of a new ambulance and
rack truck and it is proposed
to contract for the purchase
of said vehicles in order to
maintain the high standards of the COPIAGUE
FIRE DEPARTMENT in
the discharge of its duties
in preserving the lives and
property of the residents
of the community and said
purchase is deemed in the
best interests of the residents of the COPIAGUE
FIRE DISTRICT. The resolution further provides that
there be transferred from
the present Apparatus Reserve Fund of the COPIAGUE FIRE DISTRICT a
sum not to exceed Three
Hundred Thousand
($300,000.00) Dollars for
said purchase, and the District Treasurer is authorized
to effect such transfer from
time to time to effect such
purchase.
This resolution shall not
take effect until thirty (30)
days unless in the meanwhile a mandatory referendum as provided for by the
General Municipal Law is
required to be held.

beginning January 1, 2011
and ending on December
31, 2011, have been examined by an independent
public accountant and that
the report of the external
audit by the independent
public accountant has been
filed in my office where it is
available as public record
for inspection by all interested persons. Pursuant
to Section 181-b of the
Town Law and Section 35
of the General Municipal
Law, the governing board
of the COPIAGUE FIRE
DISTRICT shall prepare a
written response and corrective action plan to the
report of the external audit
prepared by independent
public accountant and file
any such response/plan in
my office as a public record
for inspection by all interested persons not later than
ninety (90) days from the
date hereof.
