With hurricane Earl moving up the Atlantic coast, it is a good time for residents to look at, or make household and personal emergency plans. Mayor Peter Imbert and the Village Board announced this week.
"For the next few weeks, we could get a series of storms coming up the coast, and it is an excellent time for residents to review emergency plans," said the Mayor.
The Village has a guide on the web http://www.amityville.com/. Once on the main page, choose police corner, emergency information, emergency preparedness guide. This guide covers the necessary information to guide you in making a plan that will keep your family safe. Copies of the guide are also available at Village Hall and the Front Desk of the Police Department.
In the event you have a non- emergency question related to emergency preparedness, you can call 264-0401 and the Police Department will be glad to answer your question.
