In photo, Dr. Scott Andrews, Amityville High School Principal with the Warrior Olympians. Students from Amityville took part in the annual Bellmore-Merrick Special Olympics held several weeks ago. The program is designed to integrate special education students into mainstream student life. It started out as a small, friendly inter-scholastic mini basketball tournament between Calhoun special education students and students from Seaford, Oceanside and Garden City and now includes teams from East Rockaway, Herricks, Massapequa and Amityville.
