Legislator Tom Barraga (R-West Islip) has announced that the Suffolk County Veterans Service Agency will be hosting a county-wide Veterans Stand Down on Fri., April 23, 10 a.m. located at the Health, Sports, & Education Center on the Brentwood campus of Suffolk Community College.

Federal, State, County and Private Agencies will be present to assist veterans in need of health, employment, financial, housing, educational and VA benefit services.

Stations will be set up to provide the following on the spot services: meals, eye care, haircuts, food pantry, clothing and dental screening.

Direct Suffolk County Transit Bus Routes to the Brentwood Campus are 3A, S33 and S41. Additional transportation will be provided by the DAV on Fri., April 23. For additional transportation information to the Stand Down please call the Suffolk County Veterans Service Agency at 631-853-8387.
