•The Amityville Public Library will be offering Income Tax preparation assistance free of charge, Sundays, 1:30 to 4 p.m. on March 21 and April 11.

•On Sun., March 21, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Bill Ochs will offer a lecture/demonstration featuring live piping, a slide show and the history of Irish piping. The second half is a lively one-man show weaving together a variety of pipe music, song, wit, tin whistle playing, stories and piping lore. Included are jigs, reels, slow airs, rare set pieces, a musical fox hunt in full cry and other surprises.

•Blood pressure screenings will be offered Mon., March 22, 4:45 to 5:30 p.m..

Library budget votes and trustee elections for Amityville and Copiague libraries are Tuesday, April 13. Budget hearings in both libraries are scheduled for Wed., March 31.
