Cultural exchange opens doors and minds at Amityville Memorial High School
      For the second consecutive year, Amityville Memorial High School opened its doors and students opened their minds during the Annual Cultural Exchange program with Plainedge High School. “We had so much success during the exchange last year that there was no doubt that we would invite Plainedge again this year,” stated teacher and Cultural Exchange Coordinator Jason McGowan.

Copiague Walter G. O'Connell HS Cheerleaders compete, Win first place
      Competing in their first-ever competition, the Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School Competition cheerleading squad won first place. The 16-member squad, along with their coaches, Jean-Ann Kohn and Tracy Wenzeler, traveled to Mount Sinai High School and participated in the Rookie Cheerleading Competition, where they were placed in the medium varsity division.
