L.I. Air Power Museum sponsors Pearl Harbor remembrance program

The Annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance program was held Dec. 7 at the American Air Power Museum in Farmingdale.
The event was sponsored by the Air Force Association, L.I. Chapter and included the tradition of dropping roses over the Statue of Liberty at noon. Several survivors of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941, attended the event as did their families and public officials. press. 
Two women become emotional as Taps was played at the event.
Shown in photo, a sailor, part of a color guard, passes up a bouquet of roses to the pilot, one of the sky typers who dropped the roses over the statue of Liberty at noon this day. Theroses were earlier blessed.
