Citizens for Sewers meets February 10

Citizens for Sewers, Inc. is holding a meeting Wed., Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Deer Park Library meeting room, 44 Lake Ave., Deer Park. Featured speakers will be Gilbert Anderson, P.E., Commissioner of the Suffolk County Department of Public Works, and Ben Wright, Chief Engineer for Sanitation for Suffolk County. Wright is a prominent expert in the field of construction and maintenance of sewer systems. While Wright’s input at our Dec. 17, meeting was informative, both he and Anderson have been invited to make a more formal presenta­tion

explaining the mechanics of hooking up houses to the sewer system.

One purpose of the Concerned Citizens for Sew­ers, a not-for-profit organization, is to educate those residents who wish to have the option of hooking up to the sewer system to get rid of cesspools.
