Free home drug test kits offered to Suffolk residents
     SC Legislator Wayne R. Horsley is participating in Sheriff Vincent DeMarco’s Test, Don’t Guess program which provides parents home drug test kits at no charge. Home test kits have been purchased by the SC Sheriff’s Department and are available to resi­dents in Suffolk County. The kits were not paid for by taxpayers but funded with money seized from drug dealers.

Alzheimer’s support group held at Our Lady of Consolation Rehabilitative Care Center
     Our Lady of Consolation Nursing 111 Beach Dr., West Islip, is offering Alzheimer’s support group meet­ings. These meetings are open to the community and are held in the board room at Our Lady of Consolation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the last Wednesday of every month. Thisis a support group to all caregivers and is spon­sored by the Alzheimer’s Association.

Gustav Anderson black and white photography exhibited at Lauder Museum
      The Lauder Museum is featuring a black and white photography exhibit of early 20th century renowned Swedish-born photographer Gustav Anderson(1897-1974), now through March 20. He lived in Amityville. His works are large photos which have been displayed in Chase Bank. The Chicago Art Institute has some of his works in their collections. He especially liked winter scenes and seascapes.
