AFD announces year-end roundup

Volunteers respond to more than 1,510 calls in 2009
The month of December was a busy one for Amityville firefight­ers who ended the year responding to more than 1,500 calls. It was the busiest year on record for the de­partment according to Amityville Fire Chief Harold Miller Jr.
