Maria Ostrofsky receives Kiwanis Honorary Membership

Maria Ostrofsky (“Ms.O” as she is affectionately called by her young charges) has received “Honorary Membership” in the Kiwanis Club of Copiague for her outstanding work as a faculty advisor to the Builders Club at the Copiague Middle School. Ms. O has held that position for the past few years and currently fosters a membership of close to 40 members. She encourages her young constituents to become involved with various community service level projects and activities. Kiwanis is an organization of volunteers that is worldwide yet with local focus and dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. TheBuilders Club is one of several Kiwanis International “sponsored youth” organizations.
