Long Island sees slight increase in average price of single-family homes
The median price of a single-family home in Nassau and Suffolk counties rose for the first time in more than a year, according to figures released by the New York State Association of Realtors. The Long Island figures are better than a statewide trend, which continued to show a decline in home values between the first and second quarter of 2009.
