Americans are calling for a return to the tenets of their Founding Fathers
Dear Editor
When after time and human events a government charged with the responsibility of serving the governed, transforms itself to a government that serves itself, at the expense of its citizens, shall force, its citizens to begin the process of questioning the evolution of its government.
This process started on April 15 with the Tea Party demonstrations all over America. These demonstrations showed to the world, that the “governed” do not like the “change” that has taken place. For the first time since Ronald Reagan, the silent majority is speaking, and the change, that will take place, will not be comfortable for the people who have ignored them for the past generation.
One thing is for certain, the political landscape has begun to change and by 2010, the political landscape will be as different as night and day. However, politicians who survive will be people who use "their office” to help reduce taxes, and bring back the government that our Founding Fathers wrote about. The one thing that these newly elected officials will realize quickly is that the new informed citizens will have zero tolerance for politicians not sticking to their campaign promises.
For all hard working Americans who want to be part of this new beginning, join your local Tea Party group, the current tea party members are just as patriotic as the ones involved in the original Tea Party; start attending your local school board meeting, learn about the budget and unfunded mandates; let your elected officials know what you expect them to do, call them, email them, their decisions are based on your input or lack of it; get involved and be part of picking candidates for office.
America's last best hope is YOU!
