Longtime Amity Harbor resident and loving family man Philip C. Hartten died Aug. 23, 2009. He would have been 76 years old the next day. “Philip was a gentle, caring man,” said his wife of almost 29 years, Judith P. “He loved his family. He was a (self-taught) woodworker and made cradles and toys for all the grandchildren.”
