Amityville purchases and razes site next to new Village Hall
After more than a year of discussion and negotia­tions, Amityville Village has entered into a mutual land swap, acquiring the property immediately east of the new Village Hall at 15 Ireland Place, in exchange for the site the Village owns on the south side of Merrick Road across from Legend Auto. Ariel Gordon, a senior at Amityville High School competed in the 2009 AAU National Championships at Disney Wide World of Sports in Florida. Ariel, a talented athlete, has many achievements. A resident of Massapequa, she is on the track and field team at Amityville High School where she made the All League and All County teams for the past four years. More...
