On Tues., July 14, members of the Bay Village Civic Association (BVCA) met for cocktails at Ollie’s Point in Amityville. Acoustic guitar music was provided by JHaus. Guests informally met the most recent members of the Bay Village Civic Association and had an opportunity to speak with Board members, Vice President Ethel MacGill and Treasurer Jackie Aissa.

The Bay Village Civic Association represents the residents of the Village of Amityville. Monthly meetings are held on the third Monday of the month. During July and August, no meetings are scheduled. Thenext meeting will be held Mon., Sept. 21, 7 p.m. in the Village court room. Membership is open to all Village residents: homeowners, renters and condo residents. A special discount is available for members joining afterJuly 1. It is $12.50 per household until the end of the year. The usual membership fee is $25 per household. This entitles members to a monthly newsletter reporting on all Village Board meetings. Social events and community activities are held throughout the year.
