S.C. Leg. Wayne Horsley congratulates Elizabeth Kijek of Lindenhurst on becoming a United States citizen. Kijek came to the United States from Poland in 1991. Kijek cred­its the volunteers at Literacy of Suffolk with assisting her in achieving her goal of citizenship. She later went on to become a literacy volunteer and tutor, eventually becom­ing the regional administrator for their western satellite of­fice located at the Amityville Public Library.
