Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center will hold a blood drive., Sat., Aug., 1, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Guild Conference Center of the Hospital at 1000 Montauk Highway, West Islip. An additional donation day is Wed., Sept. 9, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

To donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old or 16 with parents' permission, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and bring valid identification and social security number.

If you are unable to donate on these dates, visit any Long Island Blood services location and use good Samaritan's ID number (3846). Call LI Blood Services at 1-800-933-BLOOD for location and appointments.
