Thestar we have almost forgotten We thought we recognized that large, luminous light in the sky yesterday. Historical astronomers tell us it is the sun and that before this year's spring and summer seasons, it was a regular presence in our world, bringing us light and warmth. People used to go outside and soak it up. Theyused to go to the beach and enjoy the surf and sand or head for the playgrounds and picnic grounds where the sun presented the perfect backdrop for a summer's day. We think we remember that kind of life. Unfortunately, the recent rains have washed away most of our memory. Yesterday, it seemed to be creeping back into our consciousness and we longed for bygone days. |
