Longtime Amityville resident and loving mother Ruth I. Winn died May 24, 2009 at New Island Hospital in Bethpage. She was 81. She was born on April 1, 1928 in Riverhead to Fletcher and Elizabeth (Banks) Booker. In addition to caring for her family and home, she was a technician at Grumman Aerospace in Great River.
