Artist's Visit Encourages Development of Artistic Talent
Amityville Memorial High School students had the opportunity to delve deeper into their artistic passions during a visit from Julia Cryer of the Art League of Long Island. Students viewed a presentation about the League's Art Institute, and partook in an interactive discussion to learn about career options available in various fields such as media arts, fashion, culinary arts and design. In order to jumpstart their journey to higher education, Cryer introduced summer programs and internships offered by the Art League as resources to ensure success. Aspiring Amityville students were able to view portfolio projects by current students of the Art institute, including a taping of a live runway show.
