"Pub Crawl" fundraiser for Long Island's Ed Lowe Ed Lowe, popular Long Island columnist, has begun the long process of physical therapy to recover from a recent stroke. To support this effort the Ancient Order of Hibernians (Huntington division four) has scheduled a "Pub Crawl" to raise money for Ed's treatment. The event will begin Saturday, June 14th at 3pm with registration, lunch and a drink at Abel Conklin's in Huntington. Participants will continue to F. H. Riley's, Nags Head Ale House, Canterbury Ales, Finnegan's, Christopher's, and conclude the evening at Finley's for dinner and a final glass. A $75 entry fee includes all pub fees and a commemorative T-shirt. For an additional $100, sponsors will be represented on the T-shirts. Checks are payable to "A.O.H. Division 4" mailed to P.O. On Tuesday June 24th at 6:30 p.m. The Ed Lowe Life Benefit will be held at Mulcahy's in Wantagh. This will be a night of music and entertainment featuring the Stanton Anderson Band, "Squashed Possum," and the "Jim Small Band" with Ed Ryan as Master of Ceremonies. A $20 donation is suggested for this evening of raffles, auctions and fun.
