Legs. Johnson and Sweeney honor Dr. Bolton
During Dr. Bolton's tenure district test scores have risen dramatically. Ten years ago, 20 percent of Copiague students received Regents diplomas while today the number is 80 percent. At the same time, reading, math and language arts scores also rose. "Dr. Bolton's work in the Copiague School District has been phenomenal," said Senator Johnson. "His efforts have had -- and will continue to have -- an enduring impact on the youth in the Copiague School District and the community at large."
Senator Johnson and Assemblyman Sweeney presented Dr. Bolton with the resolution at a recent Copiague Board of Education Legislative Breakfast held at the Walter G. O'Connell High School.
