Leg. Mystal congratulates Amityville students

Five Amityville Memorial High School (AMHS) seniors received certificates of achievement from Suffolk County Leg. Elie Mystal for being named 2008 Scholars of Academic Excellence by the State Education Department. Dwayne Gregory, a representative from Legislator Mystal's office visited Jeffrey Mo, Robert Kaffka, Amy LaRosa, Kevin Melia, and Dariel Benjamin to congratulate the students on their achievement and to present them with certificates from Leg. Mystal.

The students were selected for the 2008 Scholarship for Academic Excellence award based on excellent academic standing and scholastic achievement in high school and a weighted average of the scores on the Regents exams taken by the students prior to their senior year in accordance with the approved selection criteria. AMHS senior Amy LaRosa, AMHS senior Dariel Benjamin and AMHS senior Kevin Melia.
