A safe boating course comes to Amityville May 3

The one-day, eight-hour New York State Boating and PWC/Jetski Safety Certification Course (also known as a boating or jetski license) will be held Sat., May 3 at the Amityville Village Hall, 21 Greene Ave., Amityville.

New York state law requires that all boaters between the ages of 10 and 18 and all PWC/Jetski Operators successfully complete a boating safety course in order to operate a motor boat or Personal Water Craft in New York Waters. This course is open to adults and children 10 years of age and older. The fee for this course is $60. This course is taught in a one-day format by U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captains and State-Certified Instructors.
