Amityville teachers give appreciation breakfast to FD

The Amityville Teachers Association had its annual appreciation breakfast for the Amityville Fire Department Volunteers. The teachers association hosted the breakfast to thank the volunteers for what they do for the community. It takes a lot of time and effort for what the volunteers do in the community so they wanted to take the time to show their appreciation.

Chief Harold Miller stated the Department was very thankful for the breakfast and the Teachers Association for recognizing what we do. As earlier reported the Volunteers put in a lot of time and effort to protect the residence of Amityville. The Amityville Fire Department responded to 1176 calls for 2007 plus the training the Department requires and the committee work that must be done each year.
