Annual Stride for Muscular Dystrophy

On Sun., May 4, at Westfield South Shore in Bay Shore, teams of walkers and people using wheelchairs and scooters will participate in the 4th Annual Stride & Ride to benefit local individuals and families coping with Muscular Dystrophy.

Registration takes place at the center of the Westfield South Shore at 8:30 a.m. and the one-mile victory walk will begin at 9 a.m. Joe Rock of WBAB will emcee the event.

Participants are encouraged to raise at least $65 in donations, the cost of one minute of MDA research. Incentives are offered for funds raised by individuals and teams. On the day of the event, everyone, whether walking or riding, travels a one-mile "victory lap" to celebrate their success.
