Byron Howard, AMHS athlete and WWII veteran

      Longtime Amityville resident and World War II veteran, Byron "Ben" Howard, died February 23, 2008 after a short illness at the New York State Veteran's Home in Montrose, New York. He was 82 years old. Mr. Howard was an Amityville High School graduate who excelled in baseball and wrestling.

      Former Amityville resident Joseph H. Reynolds died March 27, 2008 at Memorial Hospital in Miramar, Florida. He was 59. Born September 1948 to Leonard Motley and Laura D. (Nathanson) in Danville, Virginia, he later lived in Amityville.
