MDA fights MS with benefit Sunday May 4

On Sun., May 4, at Westfield South Shore Mall in Bay Shore, teams of walkers and people using wheelchairs and scooters will participate in the 4th Annual Stride & Ride to benefit local individuals and families coping with Muscular Dystrophy. Registration takes place at the center of the Westfield South Shore Mall at 8:30 a.m. and the one-mile victory walk will begin at 9 a.m. Joe Rock of WBAB will emcee the event.

Participants are encouraged to raise at least $65 in donations, the cost of one minute of MDA research. Incentives are offered for funds raised by individuals and teams. On the day of the event, everyone, whether walking or riding, travels a one-mile "victory lap" to celebrate their success.
