Copiague H.S. advances in eleventh season of The Challenge

Following their first-round victory, the academic team from Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School is moving on to the second round in The Challenge, an academic quiz show designed to test students' knowledge in a Jeopardy-style format. The second-round match-up between Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School and Riverhead High School will air exclusively on News 12 Long Island at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Sat., April 19, with an encore airing the very next night, Sunday, April 20, at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The Challenge, hosted by News 12 Long Island anchor Scott Feldman, can also be viewed anytime through the convenience of video on demand (VOD) through News s12 Interactive, located on iO TV channel 612, or by going to www.

Representing Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School are Sean Johnston, Adam Junge (captain), Jacob Ohrnberger, Wills Ohrnberger and Richard Pongvitayapanu. The team's academic advisors are Warren Bender and Beth Kattleman.
