Eastwood and Price win athletic honors

Two players from the Amityville High School girl's varsity basketball team received awards at the Annual Suffolk County Coaches Dinner held at Villa Lombardi's in Holbrook on March 19th.

Sophomore Megan Eastwood received All-League honors for league VI. Eighth grader Raven Price took home the Rookie-Of-The-Year award.

The team finished with a 9-11 record and narrowly missed the playoffs after Megan went down with a torn knee ligament and missed the final two games.

The future looks bright for the Lady Warriors as they have all but one player returning next year. The team is comprised mainly of freshmen and sophomores making it one of the youngest teams in the league. Coach Tom Tolliver is expecting big things from this talented squad over the next few seasons.
