Amityville budget hearing set for Monday; increased costs and reduced revenues put pressure on tax rate

      The Amityville Village Board will hold a public hearing on the 2008-09 budget Mon. April 14, 8 p.m. While the final proposal has not been put together, Amityville Village Mayor Peter T. Imbert said that he and the board are working to reduce the 12 percent year-to-year increase.
