St. Martin first-graders celebrate Year of the Rat
The kindergarten and first grade classes at St. Martin of Tours school in Amityville celebrated the Year of the Rat. The students learned about the Lunar New Year, Chinese customs, and even some Mandarin. Each class was able to have their own Lunar New Year parade, complete with a lion dance, dragon and "fireworks".
