      Former Massapequa and Copiague resident Joseph A. Sacino loved baseball. For many years, he played, coached and watched the great all-American pass time. He died Jan. 20, 2008. He was 77. Mr. Sacino served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

      Longtime Amityville resident Edith Aurora Bonanno, who dedicated her life to her family and home, died Feb. 10, 2008 at Broadlawn Manor Nursing Home in Amityville. She was 87. Born in July 27, 1920 in Brooklyn to Domenick and Lucy (Guistra) Penna, she lived in Amityville for more than 62 years.
