St. Martin's Girls Basketball Team Wins Sportsmanship Award

St. Martin of Tours school in Amityville's sixth grade girls CYO basketball team was honored on Febr. 8 at the Catholic Youth Organization awards held at Chaminade High School. Coach Erik Hansen's team received the Marge McGorry Sportsmanship Award.

Throughout their successful season the team also showed their determination and athletic skills. Receiving the CYO Sportsmanship Award, shown, left to right, are Assistant Coaches Mike O'Neill and Jim Jiambrone,Head Coach Erik Hansen, Madison Fulford, Sofie Duarte, Sarah O'Neill, Elyse Hatt, Paige O'Neill and Kelly Roache. Not pictured are Faith Daley, Emma Magadan and Fabi Collins.
