Resident opposes paid EMTs Dear Editor: I've heard some comments around the Village that there Will be an EMT hired for the Fire Department. I am not in favor of this as I think our volunteers do a great job of taking care of all of us. If it "ain't broken, don't fix it". I do have one question however. If an EMT is hired, isn't that the type of thing that should come up before the taxpayers in a vote? I'd think so.
