Fire Coordinators Honored for Service

Suffolk Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services Commissioner Joe Williams, left, presented Proclamations on behalf of County Executive Steve Levy to several retiring Deputy County Fire Coordinators.

Shown from left, are Commissioner Williams, Chris McKay of Southampton, Ben Lamberson of North Amityville, William Ketchem of Copiague, and Dan Tringali of Medford. Absent were John Washabaugh of Southampton, Paul Quarty of Greenport and Richard McGowin of Montauk. Commissioner Williams thanked the retiring coordinators for their dedicated service to Suffolk County. The Fire Coordinators assist the Fire Chiefs at major fires and emergencies with mutual aid and resources available from the County. The presentations took place at a recent training session for the County's Fire Coordinators held at the Fire Academy in Yaphank.
