Students can make history in Babylon
The Babylon Town Historical Society is pre- paring to hold its annual essay contest for all students in grade 4. This year's subject is "When Our Schools Were Built," a title designed to have students write about the history of their schools.

The Historical Society is currently reaching out to all educators in the Town, inviting them to get their fourth graders to participate in this year's event. It's a great way to help students develop their creative and writing skills and to have them recognized for their efforts.

The deadline for getting your school named as a participant is at the end of this month. All winning entries must be sent back to the Society by the first week in April. On May 17, National History Day, a ceremony will be held recognizing the winners of the contest.

If you have not received information about this event, contact the Society at 631-893-2119 and help your students make "history" in the Town of Babylon.
