At the Library... •The Library is offering a bus trip to see the New York Islanders v. the Philadelphia Flyers, Sat. March 1. The bus departs the Copiague Library 1 p.m. for the 2 p.m. game. the cost is $35 for Copiague cardholders and $40 for non cardholders. The price includes the ticket to the game, school bus transportation and all gratuities. •On Sat. Feb. 16, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Eddie Costello returns to give a mini seminar on antiques. The primary goals of the program is to help you learn how to detect the old and recognize the valuable for yourself. You will not only come away armed with basic antiques expertise, you will be more than capable of doing some amateur appraising as well. •A program entitled How To Save For College will be offered Wed. Feb. 20, 7 to 8 p.m. by Joseph Ordonez, college planning specialists. He specializes in the 529 College Savings Plan and will discuss its advantages and disadvantages. *On Wednesdays, Feb. 20 and 27, 3 to 5 p.m. a two-part seminar will be offered on the new laws affecting retirees and baby boomers. In session one you will learn about laws affecting Medicare, the A, B, C, D, the Deficit Reduction Act and the Pension Reduction Act. In session two you will learn how to apply what you learns in the first session, such as coordinating finances to pay for health care, protecting your assets and coordinating your support team.
