Winners are top scholars who are selected based on excellent academic standing and scholastic achievement in high school and a weighted average of the scores on the Regents exams taken by the students prior to their senior year in accordance with the approved selection criteria. In order to use the benefits of this scholarship, the winner must be in attendance as a full-time, matriculated student at an approved New York State postsecondary institution by the Fall 2008 semester. Awards are renewable for up to four academic years of undergraduate study, and range from $500 to $1500.
