O'Connell students visit The People's Court

The juniors and seniors in Louise Curci's business law class at Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School received an up-close and personal encounter of the law profession when they attended a taping of The People's Court. While at the taping, the students had the opportunity to hear several civil cases and ask Judge Marilyn Milan questions. While speaking to Judge Milan, the students asked questions ranging from 'How do you become a judge?' to 'What is the highest amount of money that a person can sue for in this court?'

In addition to learning the law, students were able to see how a television show is taped and also asked questions regarding the filming. The show which the students attended will air in February. Shown in the photo are students in Louise Curci's business law class at Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School who received an up-close and personal encounter of the law profession when they attended a taping of The People's Court.
