Honoring veterans

The Town of Babylon recently honored two of Copiague Middle School's finest students for their essays entitled "Why Should We Honor Our Veterans?," in recognition of Veterans Awareness Week. Throughout the entire Town of Babylon, only six winners were announced and the Middle School students, eighth grader An- thony Frevola who placed first and sixth grader Joshua Berkowitz who came in third, were awarded a $100 and a $50 savings bond, respectively.

Anthony and Joshua wrote their essays in their social studies class as part of the curriculum.
