St. Martin students graduate D.A.R.E. program
      St. Martin of Tours school in Amityville's fifth grade graduated from the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program. The Suffolk County Police department along with St. Martin's school teaches this program to the fifth grade. D.A.R.E.

Good Samaritan Receives Handmade Blankets from the Adventurer's Club
      Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center was recently the recipient of hand-made baby blankets from members of the Amityville Seventh Day Adventist Church. The Church's Advenuturer's Club led by Melita Johnson, arranged gift bags with blankets and other gifts for newborns.
