New Assistant Principal joins AMHS Team

The Amityville School District extended a warm welcome to Steven Lindenfeld, the newly appointed assistant principal at Amityville Memorial High School. Prior to joining the Amityville School District, Lindenfeld served as the director of Math K- 12 in the Hauppauge Central School District, a math teacher at Carey High School in Franklin Square, where he also supervised the Homebound Program and was the chairperson of the Mathematics Department. He also served as a math teacher in the Valley Stream South School District.
Lindenfeld holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Queens
College, a master's degree in Education from C.W. Post College, and both an SAS and SDA from the College of St. Rose. Lindenfeld is thrilled in his new position. "I want to be in a building with students on a daily basis," he stated. "I am happy to be here in Amityville."
