Amityville's Heather O'Brien marries Martin Kroll

Heather O'Brien and Martin Kroll, both of Amityville announced their engagement earlier this year. Heather is the daughter of Donna and the late Edward O'Brien and Martin is the son of Gunter and Bonnie Kroll.

The couple grew up together in Amityville and attended St. Martin of Tours Grade School. The future groom went to St. Anthony's High School and Amityville High School and graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a bachelor of science degree in environmental science. He works at Stonybrook University as a coordinator in the EnvironmentalHealth and Safety department and is pursuing a master's degree in waste management.

The future bride attended Holy Trinity High School and graduated from LIU C.W. Post with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She works for American Express in Manhattan as a luxury hotel counselor. She also teaches dance at June Claire Dance Centers.

The couple exchanged wedding vows Dec. 29, 2007 at St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, Amityville.
