The Amityville U -7 division witnessed yet another spectacular display of grit and athleticism Sun., Nov. 8, as the Rockets and Lightning met down by the beach.

William Byrne got the game going early with a blast from a cannon from the outer fringes of the offensive zone that just got by a diving goalie. Trett Williams had an excellent game between the pipes turning away countless shots, and was an offensive force to be reckoned with in the second half. Brandon Moriati had an excellent game on defense and offense disrupting several rushes.

For the Rockets, Michael Calabrese and Katirya Cardona brought the game to the Lightning all day, applying constant pressure and weaving in and out of defenders at a dizzying pace. As the weather turns colder, these kids are getting tougher before our eyes, week in and week out competing at a high level and never forgetting they're playing a game.
